Lynn
N. Simon, AIA, LEED AP, is President of Simon & Associates, Inc.,
Green Building Consultants. Established in 1994, Simon & Associates,
Inc. is a nationally recognized green building consulting firm. The
firm uses a practical and collaborative approach and offers a wide
range of services to advance sustainable and healthy building design
and construction practices. The firm has consulted on many LEED certified
projects, including some of the earliest projects to achieve LEED
certification in California. Ms. Simon is a green building pioneer
and a leading authority in the industry with over 18 years in the
green building arena. She has served on the Board of Directors of
several building industry organizations, including the AIA San Francisco
Chapter Board for four years and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)
Board for six years. Ms. Simon now serves as Vice Chair on the USGBC's
Governance and Curriculum Committees. She is a LEED Faculty member
and a LEED Accredited Professional. Ms. Simon is a licensed Architect
in California and has a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from UC Berkeley
and a Master of Architecture from the University of Washington. In
2003, she received the AIACC Presidential Citation Public Service
Honor Award, and in 2005 she was named one of 25 Environmental Champions
by EnvironDesign Journal. |

William J. Worthen, AIA, LEED AP, is Senior
Associate with Simon & Associates, Inc., a nationally recognized
green building consulting firm. The firm has consulted on many LEED
certified projects, including some of the earliest projects to achieve
LEED certification in California. Mr. Worthen focuses on the practical
application of sustainable design and construction strategies. He
brings over ten years of experience as a project architect and in
construction administration to his work as a green building consultant.
Mr. Worthen has worked for firms such as Hornberger + Worstell Architects
and Planners, and Hellmuth Obata + Kassabaum (HOK) Architects and
Consulting Group (now HOK Advanced Strategies). He has presented
at AIA National conventions on green building and the LEED certification
process, and he serves on the American Institute of Architects Committee
on the Environment (COTE) Advocacy sub-committee. Mr. Worthen also
serves on the Advocacy Committee of the U.S. Green Building Council's
Northern California Chapter and the San Francisco Mayor's Green
Building Task Force. He is a licensed architect in Washington, DC
and the State of California, and he is a LEED Accredited Professional.
Mr. Worthen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Science
from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Marian
Keeler, Associate AIA, LEED AP, is a Senior Associate with Simon
& Associates, Inc., Green Building Consultants, a nationally recognized
green building consulting firm. The firm has consulted on many LEED
certified projects, including some of the earliest projects to achieve
LEED certification in California. Ms. Keeler has ten years of experience
in the green building industry, focusing on indoor air quality (IAQ)
and health issues in an integrated building approach to high-performance
buildings. She has worked in various architecture firms, including
SMWM, and as a green building writer and consultant. Ms. Keeler has
presented at EnvironDesign and San Francisco's 2005 World Environment
Day on IAQ and integrated design issues. She has published several
journal articles and is working on a Sustainable Building Design textbook
to be published in 2008 by Wiley & Sons. Ms. Keeler is a LEED Accredited
Professional and is on the Boards of West Coast Green and Green Home
Guide and on the USGBC Northern California Chapter's Advocacy and
Resources committees. She received her Bachelor of Architecture degree
from California College for the Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Art
History from the University of California at Davis. |
